Home Stretch

Writing the original manuscript is suddenly on the home stretch.

Ever since I picked up Norton The Third again after being laid off from my job, I've been working against a list of beats, or incidents. Magically, it has seemed for a while, that for every new beat I write, one or two seem to appear anew some time later in the outline. Thus, it seemed for a while that the end zone kept receding as fast as I could run toward it.

A few days ago, this rather abruptly came to an end. The outline came together, and it became a relatively simple matter to crank out the remaining beats.

I love it when a plan comes together.
